LRT Stage 2 Slurry Plant Operations Public Webinar, January 28, 7pm

With Stage 2 LRT construction well underway across Kitchissippi Ward and the city, some residents in the neighbourhoods along Richmond Road have raised concerns about the slurry plant, to be located sandwiched between 655 Richmond Road and the SJAM Parkway. Our office and the LRT Stakeholder Relations Team have been fielding many questions related to the operations of the plant, with concerns about issues like noise, vibrations, exhaust and traffic.

Winter operations update

Happy to get the following from our winter operations folks this morning as the snow keeps falling...


We’re waking up to a beautiful winter day.  Overnight we saw between 7 - 10 cm of snow in the City.  We anticipate another 5 - 10 cm of heavy snow will fall today before tapering off to light flurries this afternoon.

The City of Ottawa has received Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications to permit offices and diplomatic missions to allow the development of embassies. This application amends the Official Plan.

157 Holland Ave - Site Plan Application

A Site Plan Control application has been submitted to construct a three-storey residential building, containing 12 units. The proposal includes 160 square metres of amenity space and 12 covered bicycle parking spaces. The site is currently occupied by a triplex, detached garage, and surface parking area. Adjacent to the property on the east side of Holland Ave are mainly mixed-use developments with ground floor commercial and residential units above. Across the street on the west side of Holland Ave are mature, semi-detached homes.

935 Wellington St W - Pre-Mature Demolition Application

The property owners of 935 Wellington St W are moving forward with an application to permit the demolition of the 1.5-storey residential building dwelling which is currently in poor condition and is uninhabitable.
