Our office will be hosting a seniors safety event at the Churchill Seniors Centre on Friday, November 14 from 1-2:30 pm. Speakers will include John Wambombo from Safer Roads Ottawa on pedestrian safety, Ottawa Police on community safety, OC Transpo on safety while riding transit, as well as by-stander safety expert Julie Lalonde on how to be a well-informed by-stander. Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. The conversation will be moderated by Councillor Leiper.

Notre bureau organise une activité de sensibilisation à la sécurité des aînés au Centre des aînés Churchill le vendredi 14 novembre, de 13 h à 14 h 30. Parmi les conférenciers, on retrouvera John Wambombo de Programme d’amélioration de la sécurité des routes à Ottawa (sécurité des piétons), le Service de police d’Ottawa (sécurité communautaire), OC Transpo (sécurité dans les transports en commun) et Julie Lalonde, experte en sécurité des témoins, qui expliquera comment être un témoin bien informé. Après les présentations, les participants pourront poser des questions. La discussion sera animée par le conseiller Leiper.
