Public Meeting: Scott Street Pedestrian, Cycling, Placemaking Update

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, our office will be hosting an online webinar where staff will outline changes coming to Scott Street in the coming years.

With LRT Stage 1 construction behind us and Stage 2 in full swing, Scott Street has and will continue to see many changes. In 2021 construction ot the Scott Street bus detour will begin. Once completed, buses will use Scott Street until Stage 2 construction is finished in the Transitway.

Staff in our Transportation Planning department have taken this opportunity to rethink what Scott Street will look like once all the construction is behind us, specifically in terms of pedestrian and cycling facilities and placemaking opportunities. They will be presenting their plan on what Scott Street will look like from the intersection of Churchill through to Bayview Station.
