1655 Carling Ave - Revised Design

For those following the progress of the Zoning By-Law Amendment for 1655 Carling, you would have noted that there was  a re-submission of the application in the summer, which can be reviewed here on DevApps. The applicant has now moved forward with futher design changes.

In summary, the changes are as follows:

1. Increased rear yard setbacks
2. Acquisition of the adjacent lot to the east (Hakim Optical)
3. Addition of a second tower on the new site
4. Reduction in height from 22 stories to 18 and 16 stories
5. Various improvements to the podium design and pedestrian experience
