Caring Kitchissippi: Right Bike & Cycle Salvation

Another great organization that will be represented at the Kitchissippi Forum on April 18 is Right Bike.

Right Bike is a social business that provides jobs and training for people in the community who are struggling to find employment. They also deliver a community bike share service. You may have seen their purple corrals and purple bikes out and about last summer. Don’t be shy to drop by and borrow a bike from any of the locations listed here: http://rightbike.org/rent-bike/. It only costs $5 for a full day of cycling. With 7 bike share service centres in Kitchissippi it’s a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Learn more on their website http://rightbike.org/, on facebook, or on twitter @RightBikeOttawa.

Caring Kitchissippi: Dress for Success Ottawa

In the lead up to the 2nd Kitchissippi Forum on Saturday 18 April 2015, we're doing a series on the first 6 not-for-profit organisations that have a connection to our ward and have been asked to participate at the forum. Today, we start with one of the lovely organisations who work so hard for not just our ward, but the residents of Ottawa.

Hot on the success of their gala on 26 March celebrating helping 1000 women, we're really happy to announce that representatives from Dress for Success will be attending the Kitchissippi Forum on April 18 at Tom Brown Arena.

Dress for Success is a global not-for-profit organization that has been in Ottawa since 2011 that provides professional attire, support and career development to help women thrive in the workforce.
