Jeff launches Westfest!

Today, at the Clocktower Brew Pub on Richmond Road, Jeff had the pleasure of hosting the Westfest launch for 2015 and announced the artists that will be performing at the 12th annual arts festival on June 13 and 14.

Westfest is a free outdoor festival in Westboro that began in 2004 thanks to generous donations from the Westboro Village BIA. More than 100,000 people come out to enjoy some of Canada’s greatest talent for a weekend every year. Elaina Martin and her team have been pouring their heart and soul into this street party for years, now, and the community has come to love and look forward to her festival year after year after year.

2015 heralds a return to Westfest's original roots, to the two day street party right outside the Clocktower Brew Pub on Richmond Road. We’re so excited to see such a variety of artists performing everything from music and contemporary dance to spoken word and buskers. Westfest focuses on promoting up and coming Canadian artists in an accessible, inclusive and supportive environment. Kris + Dee, an indie pop duo from Kingston, ON, had a great performance at the festival launch today. Headlining this year will be Sarah Harmer and Lynn Miles.

We cannot wait! It promises to be a great weekend for families and friends to enjoy together.
