Small-scale Industrial Uses in Commercial Zones - Study

You are here

We wanted to let you all know that a zoning study is underway which would allow amendments to the Zoning By-Law to permit small-scale, low-impact industrial uses, including mico-breweries, micro-distilleries, small-scale manufacturing and small-scale food processing associated with restaurants in commercial areas.

The study will focus on commercial zones where restaurants, bars and retail uses are already permitted. Attached below on this post, I've attached an info sheet explaining what a Zoning By-Law amendment is and how you can be involved, as well as the details of the proposed rezoning, and a form you can fill out and submit to receive future notifications about this application and to provide your comments.

Staff are asking for inital comments by January 11, 2018

You can review more details of this study on the City of Ottawa website.
