Second phase of OC Transpo detours

This week, OC Transpo provided its techncial briefing on the second phase of detours. There are two key updates for our ward. First, beginning in March, the Tunney's Pasture ramp out of the ditch will be shut, and then in June the full detour will take effect as buses travel the whole length of Tunney's Pasture to Merton Street.

When the ramp at Tunney's is shut from March to June, the 176 and 86 will begin using Scott Street rather than entering the Transitway. This shouldn't result in any delay under normal traffic conditions.

In June a new ramp will open to connect the Transitway to Tunney's Pasture Station upper level, from which they'll connect to Scott. OC says the re-routing along Scott should add just one minute of delay to trip times.
