Scott Street construction update - October 6

I've received the following update from staff today on progress of Scott Street construction and the new MUPs.


Councillor,

Please find attached this week’s construction update for the Scott Street Widening and the Multi-Use Pathway construction around the future Bayview Station. Construction is weather dependant as such schedules and workflow may change as necessary.

Scott St update

  • Scott Street Widening complete Bayview to Smirle with the exception of intersections
    • The only widening remaining is directly in front of Tunney’s Pasture Station and at intersections
  • Merton St connector has been excavated and granular for the road base has been placed
  • Signal installation poles and foundations in place as follows:  1) Bayview northwest corner foundation installed; 2) Merton wood poles installed south-side; 3) Carruthers wood poles installed all four quadrants; 4) Parkdale wood poles installed north-side; 5) Holland foundation installed northwest and northeast corners of intersection

Multi-Use Pathways

  • MUP # 2 (north side of Scott St west of Bayview Station) prepared and ready for asphalt placement. Track removed north of Bayview Station.
  • MUP # 5 (south side of Scott St east of Bayview Station) prepared and ready for asphalt placement.
  • MUP # 3 and the Bayview Station Watermain (south side Scott St west of Bayview Station)  cordoned off.  Watermain installation starting this week. Track removed for watermain installation and MUP construction.
