Scott Street construction update - November 16

We've received the following update on Scott Street construction this moring:

Scott Street widening update

• Concrete curb and sidewalk installation completed at all intersections
• Asphalt paving overlay complete with pavement marking between Pinhey Street and 100m west of City Centre Avenue
• Temporary Transitway is ready, except for signage and minor pavement marking, between Empress Avenue and Merton Street

Work remaining

• Asphalt for north-side widening at curb radii for Tunney’s Pasture entrance, Holland, Parkdale, Hinchey, and Carruthers
• Asphalt overlay existing Multi Use Pathway from Smirle Avenue to Bayview Road
• Final West Transitway Detour pavement markings between Smirle Avenue and Merton Street
• Signals to be commissioned at City Centre Avenue and decommissioned at the Bayview pedestrian crossing by November 27^th
• Signals at Merton Street connector to be scheduled sometime before the end of December 2015
• Street light power connections remain for Multi Use Pathways #2 and #3
  • #2 - north of Scott Street between Bayview Road and Station
  • #3 – south of Scott Street/north of Tom Brown Arena, between Bayview Road and the Trillium Line corridor
