Queensway on-ramp closure study

As I noted in my newsletter last weekend, the Province is kicking off a study of closing the Carling Avenue on-ramp just west of Westgate shopping centre - the short ramp that allows traffic westbound on Carling to join the eastbound Queensway by looping around the mall.

I'm very concerned that this would have the potential to put more traffic on Parkdale, particularly if the Westgate re-development proposed by RioCan is approved.

Early next week, Councillor Brockington, representatives from local community associations and I will meet with our MPP Yasir Naqvi, ahead of a public open house to be held on Thursday, June 16 from 4-8 PM at the Kitchissippi United Church (630 Island Park Drive).
