Parkdale to be closed north of Burnside May 16 to June 10

As the federal government continues to green its energy systems in its buildings under the Energy Services Acquisition Program, we are hearing that upcoming work at Tunney’s Pasture will force a temporary closure of the north end of Parkdale Avenue.

We’re expecting the closure to run from May 16 to June 10 and have attached the plans the city provided us.

Page one shows the closure and scope of work for the project. Page 2 shows the planned detour of traffic west on Scott to Island Park Drive and then north the parkway. Page 3 shows the eastbound detour from Scott to Booth and then on to the parkway. Please note that for the duration of this detour, the no left from Slidell to the parkway has been temporarily removed.
