Loretta Avenue Reconstruction Open House #2 May 11

The City of Ottawa is holding its next public information session on the Loretta Avenue reconstruction project on Thursday, May 11, from 7pm to 9pm at the Hintonburg Community Centre. The first one in January solicited comments on the project's design. Thursday's session is to advise the public of construction-related issues such as scheduling, road closures, traffic management etc., as well as to present landscaping plans for Loretta Avenue South upon the project's completion.

WHY: The underground infrastructure on Loretta Avenue is being replaced due to its age.
WHAT: Reconstruction of watermains, sewers, and roadway including sidewalks.
WHEN: The design of the project is completed. Tendering of the construction contract has taken place. Construction by the City’s Contractor is tentatively scheduled to begin in late May 2017. Enbridge Gas will be relocating a gas main on Loretta Avenue South between Young Street and Beech Street from early May 2017 to late May 2017.
WHERE: Loretta Avenue South between Young Street and Carling Avenue.

At the Public Information Session, you will be able to review the construction plans and bring forth any issues that have not yet been identified. Representatives from the City, the consulting team and the Ward Councillor, Jeff Leiper, will be available to discuss the project and answer your questions.
