Council updates: crossing guard and mural

Just a quick update for residents that we had a good Council meeting this morning. The re-zoning that will allow a mural to be painted at 3 Lowrey passed Planning Committee yesterday, and my colleagues agreed to accelerate the Council vote to today in order to commence work before the snow flies. That passed today with no issues.

And, I'm very pleased that Council passed my motion today to re-locate the crossing guard currently at Bayswater and Laurel to Bayswater and Beech in response to school- and parent-expressed safety concerns. It's a temporary measure while Devonshire school is at St. Ambrose while under renovation. My thanks go to Councillor Keith Egli who seconded the motion for his advice and help. The guard should be re-located soon, though it may take a few shifts.
