70 Richmond Rd (Champlain Oil) Development Application + Open House Webinar

You are here

You may recall in 2019, we consulted with the community about 3 different development concept options for the heritage gas station at 70 Richmond Rd.  It's been a while, but Trinity is ready to move forward with an application for the site.

The proposed redevelopment of the property consists of a nine (9) storey mixed-use building that relocates and retains the existing heritage building on the site. The heritage building is proposed to be moved to the corner of Island Park Drive and Richmond Road to incorporate into the overall development to ensure its continued use. The ground floor of the building is proposed to feature retail uses with direct access to the sidewalk. The proposed building will include 60 residential units, including a mix of studio, one and two-bedroom units, and two levels of underground parking which provide 37 vehicular parking spaces comprised of 32 residential spaces and 5 visitor parking spaces. A total of 32 bicycle parking spaces are provided both at-grade and within the parking garage.

A Site Plan Control Application for the proposed development will be submitted in the future to further detail site-specific design considerations such as landscaping, servicing locations, and building materiality. Similarly, a Heritage Permit Application under the Ontario Heritage Act will be submitted in the future.

The application will be available on DevApps in the coming days.

We are hosting an open house webinar to discuss this proposed development further with the community:
