1705 Carling proposal: Resubmission

​You may recall in late Spring 2018, we held an open house with the community to discuss the the Site Plan application for 1705 Carling.  The previous owner has since sold the property to Claridge, who are now proposing a new building through a Zoning By-Law Amendment. We held a Webinar Open House in June to discuss the new application with the community further. 

Since then, the applicant made a few changes to the current application, as follows:

  • New entrance from Tillbury added to improve traffic safety on Carling Avenue.
  • Reconfiguration of the internal vehicular circulation – removal of the roundabout and addition of pedestrian crosswalks.
  • Improvements to landscaping along the frontage of the property for better connections and added interest to the public realm.
  • Relocation of some internal active uses to the front of the buildings to improve street animation and visual interest.
  • Minor design changes relating to choice of materials and location and style of windows.
