166 Huron Ave development proposal + virtual open house

You are here

The Jewish Youth Library is planning to relocate to 166 Huron Avenue North. The site is currently zoned for residential (R3I – Residential Third Density, Subzone I), therefore, a Zoning By-law Amendment is required to permit a small library use. As the site and current building are a designated heritage resource, no changes to the site or building are proposed in association with the Zoning By-law Amendment. The Jewish Youth Library, which is a non-profit registered charitable organization, maintains a library according to the needs of the Jewish and general communities, servicing all segments of the Ottawa community. On behalf of the Jewish Youth Library, Fotenn plans on submitting the Zoning By-law Amendment early in 2021.

We are hosting a pre-application open house with the community to discuss this proposed idea further.
