114 Richmond Road (Sisters of the Visitation Monastery) - Phase 2A - Site Plan Control Resubmission

You are here

The City of Ottawa has received a resubmission on the Site Plan Control application for 114 Richmond Road – Phase 2A, otherwise known to many as the Sisters of the Visitation Monastery site. This phase consists of a nine-storey residential building (known as Building ‘B’) connecting to the south of a re-furbished convent building.

The primary changes to the resubmission of the site plan are the following, as stated in a new design brief:

  1. “Minor [changes to the] exterior Building ‘B’ Wall articulations due to floor plan development but still within the approved site plan envelope.
  2. “Curb line and landscaping changes between the buildings west wall and west property line to allow for building exiting, deliveries, garbage pick-up and staff parking. […] The service lane from Richmond Road does not extend through to Shannon Street but now stops at the extent of phase @Aa. A pathway and landscaping replace the laneway along the west wall of building ‘D’ which still allows pedestrian access from the south (Byron Avenue and Shannon Street) to the Old Chapel entrance. […]”

The resubmission is live on Devapps, where you can review additional supporting documents for this application.
