Support for Bill 73 - Smart Growth

This afternoon, Councillors Tobi Nussbaum, Catherine McKenney and I wrote to the Standing Committee on Social Policy at Queen's Park with our support for several provisions in Bill 73, Smart Growth for Our Communities Act. I wrote a bit about this back in June when the City's Planning and Growth Management department provided its input to the process.

Tobi, Catherine and I are largely supportive of the changes being proposed, which we consider will strengthen residents' voices in planning our city, though we are asking the Province to re-visit two issues.
