Storm cleanup update - December 31

Good morning, Kitchissippi. I continue to hear about a few odds and ends from yesterday's large storm that need cleanup, but by and large the plowing operations continue and staff are getting to those as they can. Please call 3-1-1 if you see any areas needing attention. This'll be the last update I post from the City - best wishes for a very happy new year from I and my staff! Remember, OC Transpo is free starting at 8 pm on New Year's Eve. Take advantage of it to have a safe and awesome night of celebrating!

Road Services staff will be focusing on residential streets, sidewalks, dead ends, cul de sacs and bus stop clearing today and work through until the 7pm shift change this evening. We have night shift scheduled for 7pm to continue the clean up process. The forecast is calling for a high of -2C today, light winds and a mix of precipitation of snow, flurries and drizzle. Staff will also ensure the priority road and sidewalk network is being plowed and salted as necessary.
