Scott Street Construction Update - October 14th

Please find attached this week’s construction update for the Scott Street Widening and the Multi-Use Pathway construction around the future Bayview Station. Construction is weather dependant as such schedules and workflow may change as necessary.

Scott Street Widening update

• Merton Street connection excavated, granular for road base placed, and signal poles installed at all four quadrants
• Traffic signal and street light foundations with wood pole installations continue at signalized intersections along the north side of Scott Street
• Signal and lighting installation to start at intersections this week for West Transitway Detour

Multi Use Pathways update

• MUP #3 (south side Scott St west of Bayview Station) West side tracks and ties removed for watermain installation to the north edge of the Scott Street underpass
• MUP #2 + Bayview Station Watermain installed from Scott Street underpass to Bayview Road along north side of Tom Brown arena, testing and commissioning to be completed
  • MUP construction will follow the commissioning of the Bayview Station watermain
• MUP # 5  (south side of Scott Street east of Bayview Station) connected to existing pathway, ready for asphalt placement.  Scheduled to be opened Oct. 21^st
