Project updates: Jules Leger path, Scott Street sidewalk, Golden and Byron

You are here

I'm back from holidays and saw a note from our infrastructure folks sent to me on Friday - some good project updates worthwhile to pass on:

Councillor Leiper I wanted to inform you that construction for the projects mentioned below will be starting at these sites early next week. We are anticipating that they will be completed this fall with the exception of the Jules Leger Centre pathway where the majority of the heavy construction will be completed by August 22nd.

  • Scott Street This project includes 45 meters of new sidewalk on the south side of Scott Street between Clifton Road and West Village private.
  • Jules Leger Pathway This project includes a 90 meter long asphalt pathway on non-City lands of the Jules Leger Centre, between Selby & Beechgrove
  • Golden Avenue and Byron This project includes: - sidewalk replacement (20 meters) on west side of Golden Avenue between Byron & Richmond; - sidewalk at southwest corner only of Byron & Golden; - Byron park works consisting of a 30 meters long, 3 meters wide asphalt multi-use pathway from the northwest corner of Golden & Byron to the existing park pathway. This includes new paver stone border along the sidewalk adjacent to the park along the Byron Avenue frontage and around the Richmond Road corner to the bus shelter.

Notices have been delivered to the surrounding residents and businesses.
