Parkdale ramp closures

Update: I'm told the closure of the Parkdale off- and on-ramps that I wrote about here has been delayed until May 13. The eastbound ramp will be closed from May 13 until August 25, and the eastbound offramp from May 13 to May 28.

Good evening, Kitchissippi. I wanted tonight to make sure residents are aware of some upcoming Parkdale ramp closures that will take effect at the end of the month, one of which will be summer-long. The full notices from Kiewit Dufferin (the contractors to MTO) are posted below.

From April 28 until August 25, the eastbound on-ramp to the 417 at Parkdale will be closed. Residents who want to go eastbound can get on the 417 either at Carling or at Metcalfe.

From April 29 until May 14, the eastbound off-ramp from the 417 at Parkdale will be closed. Eastbound vehicles on the 417 can exit the highway either at Carling or Rochester.

I haven't seen any City communications on this and will seek some guidance on when the usual social media and communications material will go out. This will be a fairly significant change to traffic patterns.
