Please review the following info we received from the City. While the work is occuring next door in Somerset Ward, this may impact your commute on the O-Train Corridor MUP:
"On August 3, 2016 (weather dependant), the City of Ottawa will advance two boreholes for a geotechnical investigation near the Champagne-O-Train Corridor Multi-Use Pathway under the 417 Highway overpass. This work is required to determine geotechnical conditions, as part of the design for a drainage improvement project that will address O-Train Corridor drainage concerns.
This investigative work will take place along the east side of the Champagne-O-Train Corridor Multi-Use Pathway under the 417 Highway overpass. A very short stretch of the east lane of the Multi-Use Pathway below the 417 overpass may be partially encroached but the Multi-Use Pathway will be accessible to pedestrian/cycling traffic. The investigation is anticipated to begin August 3, 2016 (weather dependant) and should take approximately half a day."
Thank you.
