You are here

Sewer work is coming to the area around the Trillium O-Train line by Hintonburg Place. Here is the flyer sent to local residents about the upcoming Public Information Session.

PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION

November 2019

You are invited:

Monday December 2, 2019

6 to 8 pm

Tom Brown Arena

141 Bayview Rd, Ottawa

Dear Resident,

The City of Ottawa would like to invite you to a Public Information Session to discuss a reconstruction project planned in your neighbourhood.

Who:                 Stantec has been retained by the City to develop the design plan.

What:                The City of Ottawa will be replacing and realigning the trunk sanitary sewer under the Trillium Line O-Train corridor and the connection with the recently relocated West-Nepean Collector.

Why:                 This work is needed to replace the trunk sanitary sewer that runs under the O-Train corridor due to its condition.

When:               The design of the project is currently underway with an expected tender in January 2020. Construction is expected to begin in spring of 2020 with anticipated completion in late fall 2020. This schedule will be confirmed through the detailed design process.

Where:              The proposed sewer replacement will travel north from Hintonburg Place and will run northerly into the adjacent parkland. The proposed sewer will then turn easterly and cross under the Trillium Line O-Train corridor.

At the Public Information Session, you will be able to review the preliminary design plans and related objectives and provide comments and feedback on the project. Representatives from the City and the consulting team will be available to discuss the project and answer your questions.

Accessibility is an important consideration for the City of Ottawa. If you require special accommodation, please contact the City’s Project Manager or Consultant Representative listed below.
