Help us re-name the field house at Van Lang

The field house at 29 Van Lang Private has been a huge success, and it’s time to give it a permanent name!

Until March 1, I’d like to get your suggestions so that we can make a short list of names that we can put to a community vote.

Suggested names should reflect the area’s geography, natural environment, history or people. The only names that won’t be considered are those of living people. Names will need to work in French and English

We’ll have a small group of stakeholders who will read your suggestions and come up with a short list of names that can be put to a vote, both online and with a drop-off for ballots.

Send us your suggestions by email at jeff.leiper@ottawa.ca, or drop them off in the box at the field house, using a few lines to explain why you think it would be a good name. We’ll have the suggestion box near the counter phone starting February 1.

On March 1, I’ll pick up the suggestions from the field house and collate all the suggestions to be reviewed by a stakeholder’s group. We’ll pick a few top ones, and then put those to a vote.
