Help shape services for children, their families and caregivers

The City of Ottawa is planning for the new Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs) and wants to hear from parents, grandparents and caregivers of children six years of age and younger.

In 2018, all child and family programs funded by the Province will become part of one unified system of services and supports for children ages 0 to 6 and their families. These will be called Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs).

These new centres will offer programs and services for children, from newborn to six-year-olds, and their caregivers including playgroups, information workshops for parents, and referrals to specialized services.

Participate in the planning for the OEYCFCs by registering to attend a consultation.

Consultations held in English:

• Monday, February 6, 7 to 9 p.m., Jim Durrell Recreation Centre, 1265 Walkley Road
• Tuesday, February 7, 7 to 9 p.m., McNabb Recreation Centre, 180 Percy Drive
• Saturday, February 11, 1 to 3 p.m., Johnny Leroux Community Centre, 10 Warner-Colpitts Lane
• Monday, February 13, 7 to 9 p.m., Peter D. Clark Place, 255 Centrum Boulevard
• Saturday, February 18, 1 to 3 p.m., Walter Baker Sports Centre, 100 Malvern Drive

Consultations held in French:

• Wednesday, February 15, 7 to 9 p.m., Peter D. Clark Place, 255 Centrum Boulevard
• Saturday, February 18, 10 a.m. to noon, Walter Baker Sports Centre, 100 Malvern Drive

Please indicate any special accommodations needed while registering for the consultation. Spaces are limited, so register early.

An online survey  will be available in February for those who can’t attend a consultation.
