Construction season has arrived on Sherbourne Road

The 2019 construction season has arrived on Sherbourne Road and it will be a busy one.

As last year's watermain project wraps up near Redwood, the entire stretch of Sherbourne from Carling to Byron is set to be resurfaced.

Work on both projects are set to begin soon if they haven't already. With all the underground infrastructure installed and tested last year, crews will now be repaving Redwood, finishing up the road rehabilitation on Redwood and Sherbourne and doing the landscaping reinstatements. They won't be resurfacing that stretch of Sherbourne since it will be covered in the entire resurfacing project.

Work for the resurfacing project will include milling of the existing surface, adjustment of manhole and catch basin grates, concrete repairs, and roadway resurfacing. It's expected to be wrapped up in October.
