89 Richmond Rd - Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-Law Amendment & Site Plan Control applications + Open House

Many community members have been inquiring about the future of 89 Richmond Rd, a property that experienced a fire in 2017 and has sat vacant since. The property owners are now ready to move forward with a proposed development at that location. The property owners are proposing to construct a six (6) storey mixed-use building on the subject property. The basement, first, and second floors will be comprised of a purpose built 497m2 spa and health centre, while the third through sixth floor will contain 14 residential dwelling units. The residential unit mix includes one- and two-bedroom units. The required parking is one (1) space and the applicant is proposing to provide zero (0) spaces. 

The application is not yet available on DevApps, but will be shortly. The applications will be for a Site Plan Control, Zoning By-Law Amendment and an Official Plan Amendment.

Our office is hosting a public open house for residents to review the development details further and to provide feedback. The open house will be Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30pm at the Hilson Ave Public School – gym. The applicant's team will be on hand to run through the two applications, and the lead planner will be available to field process questions. Jeff will also facilitate a Q + A.
