436 Athlone Avenue - Site Plan Control Application

You are here

A Site Plan Control application has been received by the City of Ottawa seeking to construct a three-storey, low-rise apartment building containing 16 dwelling units. The proposal includes bicycle storage in the rear yard and no vehicular parking.

The property is located of the east side of Athlone Avenue. It is a second lot south of Byron Avenue and just over one block south of Richmond Road (which serves as a Traditional Main Street). The area is characterized by detached residential dwellings and low-rise apartment buildings. 436 Athlone is currently occupied by a two-storey detached dwelling with a detached shed.

The proposal seeks to construct a three-storey, low-rise apartment building with 16 dwelling units. 25 percent of the 16 dwelling units will be 2-bedroom units, while the rest will consist of 1-bedroom and bachelor units. The proposal does not include on-site parking but does include rear yard bike storage sheds for its tenants. The proposal also includes a garbage shed in the rear yard.

The submission is live on Devapps, where you can review additional supporting documents for this application.

Our office is holding a community open house to give residents the opportunity to review the details further, and ask questions from the developer and City staff.
