As always, this is an opportunity to the community to come together to discuss key issues within the Ward, collaborate, and get updates from our various community stakeholders, as well as from our office.

As many have heard by now, Wellington West will see one of Ottawa's first cannabis retailers opening in April. Superette is located at 1306 Wellington St W. Since the announcement, our office has worked closely with the business owners, the Wellington West BIA, the Wellington Village Community Association and the City to move forward as successfully as possible. I’ve received several notes asking me why I voted the way I did and wanted to give residents some insight into what was on my mind. Many residents are concerned about SNC Lavalin’s involvement, the increased scope over what was originally to be procured, and the lack of time to make a decision.
As many residents are now aware through the media, the LRT phase 2 station that was to be located at the strip mall at 747 Richmond Road is now going to be located instead in Byron Linear Park between Sherbourne and Cleary Avenue.
